Wild Acre Cart Lodge is only a few miles outside the Garison Town of Colchester rich in Roman history and easy to find.....

Directions by road: From the north or east: Using the A14 head towards Ipswich and join the A12 heading towards Colchester.

From London and the West,take the A12 towards Ipswich/Colchester thereafter on approaching Colchester stay in the right hand lane passing the Colchester turn off, after aprox two miles take the A120 left hand turnoff towards Harwich,then take the A133 exit towards Clacton-on-sea. At the roundabout take the first exit left towards Clacton-on-sea carry on for aprox one mile getting ready for the fist right turn to Great Bentley after this turn carry on towards Great Bently for aprox one mile At the next T-Junction turn right,and then after 100yds take the immediate left. Stay on this road out of Great Bentley crossing a train rail control and continue for a further 2.5 miles until you reach the next main T.junction (B1027). Turn left here, & continue for a further 1.5 miles then take the first right turning  into St.Osyth this is the Colchester Road.

At the crossroads in the centre of the village of St.Osyth take the right turn onto (The Bury) Stay on this road passing the Priory on the right then the recreation ground on your left and cross the causeway with the boat yard on your right you will now go up a fairly steep hill with a sharp right hand bend at the top of the hill when you have taken this right hand bend keep a sharp look out for the next left hand turn off this is Leewick lane which you should follow for aprox one mile as you pass some white open gates with stabling and padocks on your left and right you will see a large farm house in front of you pass this farm house and Wild Acre Barn & cartlodge is fifty yards further ahead after the sharp left hand bend.
